Just because he has Mark Wilson's book doesn't make him able to perform a kid show. As a matter of fact I wouldn't recommend that book for someone wanting to do Kid shows. Learn how to then accept a show.

But all he asked for were effects from Mark Wilson's book that he could use in his show. If he doesn't have the skill to perform for kids, he'll find out the hard way soon enough. None of the people in this forum listen when we say "Do your research", "Look for Ginn's material", etc. So I'm done saying it to them, they can figure it out on their own.

I don't see why you wouldn't recommend that book for someone doing Kid's Shows. It's not the only material someone should use to develop a kid's show, but I've found that a LOT of that material is able to be tailored to children VERY easily. I didn't do all the effects I mentioned before in one show, but they all played well to the kids.

You can surely use some stuff from probably any magic book. Going by his post he feels that since he has Wilson's book it will be his answer to kid shows.
AS far as Kid shows Wilson's book doesn't even come to mind to suggest to someone.
Duane Laflin is fantastic when it comes to this kind of Magic. He needs to jump on his sight and get some info there.

Agreed Sluggo. Duane has some great stuff!

Duane did a simple Lewis Cone effect at Kidabra a few years ago but man the ending with the big pom pom coming out was hysterical and great.
Just another case of a professional magician taking a wonderful prop and routine, using it in the right context, with the right music with a kicker ending.

Being a fan of silk magic myself, I agree that Laflin's stuff is great. A lot of his material is at the top of my "need to buy" list.

You can't go wrong with Laflin's stuff, it's all quality material great silks.
I've met him numerous times and he is as nice as they come. I've seen him perform as well and he is fantastic.
