I have read everything anyone has posted.
I have a routine that I use.
I have my stuff I am using.
I know how to use them all.
The show is in 8 months
I thank everyone for everything they have posted.
I am not a lazy kid looking for a quick buck.
The problem is that your story is constantly changing. You say you have a routine now. Earlier, you implied that you had no routine, and that you needed us to help you create one. If you have a routine, and know everything you're going to use, then why keep asking us to help you create a routine? It really doesn't make sense. Why not take the routine you have now, film it (like was suggested), post it here, and then improve on it by taking the advice that you'd be given? You keep changing the story, which makes it impossible to help you.
I am reading up on a lot about kid shows.
I am not a hopeless cause.
I do understand everything everyone is saying in here.
You keep saying you understand everything that everyone is saying; however, it's clear that you don't. If you did, there wouldn't be so many problems with trying to communicate with you. You're 15 years old, nearly 16. If you can't communicate effectively with us, how do you expect to be able to communicate with a group of students? You simply won't be able to. Also, maybe instead of posting constantly on this site, you take the time and actually read about kid shows? It would be far more productive than what you're doing here right now.
Please If your going to tell me anything or have any tips ideas please do not tell me that I am just a lazy, hopeless, kid looking for a quick buck.
I've given you quite a bit of advice. However, like I've stated before, you've seem to ignore it. You've seem to ignore a lot of the advice given. Which leads people to the conclusion that you're lazy and a hopeless cause. Start doing the work you need to do, and change that opinion. It's not that hard to do. But it will take work on your part. Too many kids on this site expect other's to do all of the work for them. That's not going to happen. It's time that you start doing a little research of your own. Go back through the kids show section of this site. Go to other magic forums and search the kids shows section. Search google. Do some work yourself.
Have you ever seen a professional 15 year old magician?
I've seen quite a few semi-professional magicians of 15. There are some very good magicians who are 15 who are making it as magicians. Now, I don't consider them professional, simply because they are still dependent on their families to support them. But they are out there, doing a great job.
And I will be practicing my routine until the show.
And I will sit down and look at what could go wrong and I will plan for that.
What routine? This is the problem. You talk about a routine, then you imply you don't have a routine, then you talk about a routine, and then you imply you don't have a routine. You keep switching your story. You don't even seem able to understand how to create a routine in the first place. So I can't see how you have one. You have to get your story straight.
I am doing this because I love it. Its my hobby, I have dedicated a lot of my time so far into this and I am not going to let someone tell me I cant do it. Because I know I can.
And about your curses idea, I live far away from any ware ware there could be a magic course.
So i have to read books. And thats what I do.
You have a computer. You can get courses right over the internet. Check out Paul Daniels. He has a great course on the subject. It covers a lot of aspects of magic, including kids magic. It's well worth the money, and Paul is a great guy. He knows what he's talking about.
Also, no one is telling you that you can't do this. However, if you keep at the rate that you are, you will fail. You have to start doing some work yourself. You will not succeed unless you do. That's a simple fact of life.
If you have any more advice or anything you think i should do. Please tell me.
I really do like all this help I am getting. Just you are preciveing me very wrong some how.
My perception of you is based by what you've said here. If I'm perceiving you incorrectly, it's probably because you are portraying yourself incorrectly. You need to learn how to communicate effectively. You are not doing so. It's hard to understand a lot of what you are trying to say. Especially when you seem to contradict yourself.
Communication is very important in magic, and any form of entertainment. I highly suggest getting into public speaking. I'm sure your school offers speech, debate, or student congress. Those are great activities to get into, so you can practice public speaking. Drama is another great activity to check into. It will greatly help you in the future.
