Have you ever tried this? When kids come to my door, I offer them a magic trick or a treat. I have done this for two years and this year my dad is going to allow me to set up on an awning and table in the front yard and run an almost street type show. Any sugestions as to handling or tricks to preform. I was thinking sponge ball, cups and balls, and silk type magic. The main concern, my Dad and I thought out was to have no direct contact between myself or any of the kids. That keeps everyone happy. So any thoughts and opinion's are apreciated.
Thanks
PatrickS

Here's my favorite:

Grab a d-lite out of the air and "Drop it" into their candy bag...they'll go CRAZY looking for it!!

Anything that can be performed quickly. A "quick-trick" if you will. The point here is that the kids are out for one thing that night...to get candy. Yes, I'm sure they would love to see some magic. But you have to think about the adults who may just want to get the trick-or-treating part over with and get back home So that's why I think you need to keep the tricks short and simple.

Do some effects where you produce candy to give out. That should go over well.

Good luck.
Paul

I would take these really realistic eyeballs and do a palm vanish. Then I would produce it out of my eye. I also used the fork and creamer gag A LOT last year.

You could have an eye ball bouncy ball palmed and casually ask the kid how if you can see how much candy they have. You secretly drop the palmed ball into their bag, take another identical ball, finger palm vanish it, and make it "appear" in their bag. You are set up to do it again too. :D

You could dump some sugar into a TT, and change it into candy. :D
