I've performed lots of kid’s shows for different age kids and have always used cups and balls as my finishing piece. It’s a simple version and the kids love it.
What I'm wondering is could I use an egg bag as a closing effect; Rather than the Cups and Balls?
My table was broken in a recent move, and I have not been able to replace it.

I have a practiced routine with an egg bag that I haven't performed and I'm wondering what your thoughts are?

The effect doesn't matter. It's YOU that entertains. I would rate My egg bag routine a 4 or 3 (on a 1 to 10 scale) so I would not use this as a closer. I want to end on a 8 or 9 effect. But that's just MY egg bag routine, yours may be an 8 or 9.

If you haven’t performed the effect for an audience yet then I would guess it isn’t ready to be your closer. My personal preference for a birthday (I’m assuming that’s what were discussing here) is to make the bday child the star at the end of the show. If your routine accomplishes this then go for it.

My egg bag routine isn’t strong enough to close my show either so I don’t.

It's your show, try it, and if it works, then GREAT, if not....do something else with it! It really depends on the routine you have developed for it more than anything.

I do an egg bag, but not as my closer...it's better as a center piece for me.

I think that, due to the nature of the egg bag, it really isn't the best closer, especially for a kid's routine. Like Paddy said though, if it works for you, use it.

Check into the chicken egg bag. In my opinion, the chicken egg bag plays even better for kids.
