Although this maybe "advice" I thought that silks are more used in Kids Show magic. I've never really thought about buying silks. I've got about 15, and they don't suffer like my packet of cards do, but it has come to my attention that I need more silks, but there appears to be about 3 different brand silks at penguin magic alone. The silks I have are from Duane Laflins magic store, but that is not currently operational.
So, from penguin magic [it wouldn't be appropriate to list other retailers...], which silks should I buy? has anyone bought the cheap ones? compared them to the more expensive ones? Are they all the same? WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE SILK WORLD!!!!!

Honestly I don't think it really matters.... ALTHOUGH... there are some nice silks out there made by Rabbit Magic. I am not sure if Penguin carries their brand or not but a local magic store carries them and they are nicely made and colorful.

You can't get silks from Duane Laflin??
That's the only place I use to get them. Although a magic store near me has decent ones so I have been going there and I don't pay shipping fees.

Duane's store has been shifted to his daughter....it's now called "Lock Family Magic"

I always buy from my good friend Bob Sanders of Dov Lite silks...he's one of the biggest importers of silks for magic in the USA. He is Jeff McBrides source for silks...check into it...GREAT silks at GREAT prices!

I can back up what Kyle says as to the quaility of the silks Bob has. Great guy too!
