Hey together!

My name is Dan Berlin and I travel around the world. At the moment I am in Asia and I got many opportunities to teach some english & show some magic in classes here. I would like to combine these two things. I don't want to teach magic but involve it in teaching so that kids are more interested & motivated in learning. I am not a full time teacher so I just need a little bit of inspiration / ideas.

Someone here with experience or ideas?

Thanks so much

Dan

Sponge balls for colours

Coins across / productions and vanishes for numbers

Ambitious card for prepositions (on top of, on the bottom of, in, beside, between, over, under etc...)

Three card monte for directions (left, right, middle, up, down)

Just some quick ideas I got... Let me know if you need more, and on what subject. (I am an educated teacher of English as a second language)

I like to stick to "Three Card Monte," for those situations. Not only do they learn their number and command verbs (Come here, Step right up, 10 will get you 20, ect) but you will teach them valuable life lessons as well.

i teach kindergarten ( ages 5 -7 ) in Korea.

My kids go crazy for simple coin & card tricks, colour changes & even ( mostly where the 7 year olds are concerned ) basic, yet baffling mentalism.

Guess it also often helps if you speak at least a little of the native tongue.

KISS :)

I just got back from Korea!

I always found that the itty bitty ones were always most impressed by the thumb off the fingers and the neck cracker! That is high art when you are 7!
