This is excellent advice... This is the same concept I use in my kid's show.

I wear the exact same thing for my corporate shows as I do for my kid shows... shirt and tie. The only difference is that in my kid's show, I wear a brightly colored polyester vest with big bright buttons. The pattern on the vest kind of looks like Fred Flintstones outfit.

Often, when I'm doing walk-around and table hopping for adults, I'll wear that same vest. It accomplishes two things:

1. People immediately recognize that I'm not just some guy walking around doing tricks, but that I was probably paid to be here.

2. The other thing is that it's an ice breaker. I usually walk up to a table and say, "how are you doing, or how's everything." They say "Fine." I then say, you're probably looking at my vest saying, "hey, I'd hate to be that guy." pause for effect... then continue with something like, "I'm the entertaiment here, so would you like to see a couple of tricks..." or some other opening line.

What a confusing topic! You should really think about your personality and character and try to fit the outfit to fit that.

Not an easy task. But I personally like to stick to primary colors.

I roll the sleeves back for a more casual look...it also gives the impression "Hey...there is nothing up my sleeves!" I do this with EVERY costume that I wear!

My others are a red zoot suit (which I love to where with a black shirt and a tie that looks like playing cards) and my red tail coat...(which I wear a black T-shirt under, black dress pants, and black converse shoes.) I used to wear this one back when I started kidshows but I do not really use it much anymore.

Of all three, I like the zoot suit the best...I will put a pic up as soon as I get one on the net.

Whats a zoot. Anyways, For my gig this month im planning on wearing MAybe black converse with a white shirt and black dress pants with red white and blue suspenders?

Not bad, If you have a pair, I would wear red converse. But then again, black converse would seem a little more classy. All depends on what you want to project.

Then again you shouldn't take "fashion advice" from a clown.
