We don't really know anything about you so we don't really know. Is this your first order?

Ive been performing magic for adults for a few years but never did a kids show before i just wish i found this site earlier because its alot cheaper........ and better quality

Chair Suspension is gonna be my closer i havent did a kids show in a while but they use to like it ........... paid $200 for it at one time and now its like $500 anywhere now

I would recommend putting this in the Kid Show section of the forum. You will probably get better responses and more informative answers. Also, Paddy will be able to help you and he is a professional magician who also works with kids.

Dump the coloring book. every little kid has seen it. Use the same ropes for the professor's nightmare/professor's daydream and the cut and restored rope sequence. you have to buy your rope in 50 or 100 foot lengths but it is cheap at the hardwae store. It only takes a second to cut the ropes for the professor's routine and I do it right in front of the audience and no one sees what I am doing.

What about the dishonest abe by Greg Wilson? I also like to do Vanishing Hanky, and the 3D Vanishing Rabbits. I like your inclusion of the A Sucker is Born Every Min. I never done this for kids before. But now I can see the potential - piece of chewing gums and admission to the zoo perhaps?

do you really want to make the kids out as suckers? if you are goin to do a sucker effect, make sure YOU are the sucker.

Now wait a minute, David Ginn, perhpas the most popular kids show performer uses a sucker trick in all his shows.

True but i definitley wouldn't reccommend that sucker effect. Kids won't even get it.

Yes, the various rabbit sucker effects and the die box work well for sucker effects.

i have this eight foot wooden pole and i start i always say well here i packed my lunch this morning ....... do you guys mind if i eat really quickly........ the kids are like awwwww but look into my brown paper bag (the small ones) like a dissapointed look on my face "well" i say..... and i go to pulling out this wooden pole and whn im done we have an 8 ft pole leaning against a tree or wall.... well i mustve forgotten my lunch and just grbbed my toothpick.......... the kids love it ......... hope this helps

dont buy Sucker things and cards...

You have some good stuff to put on a good show. With kids your movements has to be more animated and exaggerated. Keep up a good pace, kids don't like any dead time. I still use the coloring book and the skit I use with it always seems to get great results. It always makes the little ones look good.
Which is what we're suppose to do.

dishonest abe is great. Afterwards, you can do a coin sucker box or jumbo manipulations with the jumbo penny.

I also do a similar/original effect with electronic rating pen which gets a better reaction that dishonest abe. After doing the standard electronic rating pen routine (changing a penny to a dime), tell the kid to use the pen to change it back to a penny. While they're busy trying to change the dime back to a penny (which doesn't work by the way, but just causes healthy misdirection), secretly palm a jumbo dime out of your pocket. Take the pen back and 'change' the dime to a jumbo. People's eye's bug out and smiles appear. 100% effective. Again, you're then ready to do a coin sucker box, jumbo manipulations, or Gregory Wilson's pen routine.
