I've been lurking these particular forums for a while, but now my magic has gotten to a serious point in my life.
I've been doing magic for a number of years, on and off, but now I have gotten back into it in full swing.
I have to ask for advice, since I've never been approached with anything like this before. Plus, I don't know if this is the right forum or not, but whatever, replies are replies.
I've been asked by my old high school principal to give a lecture/workshop on magic. Simple as that. He asked me to give some demo's of routines and such (which I have already set up) but what I need to know it this:
How to I structure a 1 hour workshop that deals with the history of magic, tips on showmanship, performance, slieghts, etc etc.
There will be 24 students in total taking part (2 groups of 12) and they are in the ranges of grades 9 - 10. I don't intend on giving out secrets, but more of a knowledge, learning experience on how to get these students more interested in magic.
I've done lots of kid shows in my time, so that's all well and good, but this lecture I've been asked to do will be a challenge.
Any feedback is GREATLY helpful.
Thanks,
Speedy
