I have a show coming up in a couple of weeks and was thinking of adding a small mentalism routine into my act. The children are 10+/-. I think at this age they would understand mentalism, but I'm not completely sure about this. What do you guys think?

It could work, but you have to pick out the right mentalism trick to use. I have seen a few made for kids on the market.

PB&J has nothing to do with mentalism.

It all depends on your experience. If you are experienced enough at performing for kids most tricks can be adapted with the right approach. If you've only been doing a few shows then it's best to stick to kid friendly tricks.

Yeah, at that age, I think they'd rather see a combat rabbit jump out of your hat dressed as action man and shoot a card into a card board than go through the process of dealing out 21 cards in 3 piles of 7. Not saying that you'll do this just an example.
