For those of you who really want to learn about doing kid shows I would like to suggest a most excellent way. Throughout the Country all year long there are Clown Conventions. At these conventions most of the classes are geared toward kid shows.
Lots of magic classes, which includes patter and how to routines. Non clown instructors such as Barry Mitchel (sp) Dwayne Laughlin and others who are professional magicians are on hand to teach kid shows.
They also teach how to act and react in a humerous way. Most of you have no intensions on being a clown and that is fine, but some of the best kid show performers are or were.
There are scores of dealers on hand to perform the tricks and patter. If it looks good it's there to buy. They are everywhere, experience first hand how to do a routine with the trick at hand. Books, Cd's on every aspect of doing shows. Who knows you may want to open your horizons and add Clowning to your resume and secure more parties.
Look on your internet for one close to you. One of the biggest and best is April 19th in Grand rapids Michigan. Check out the site,
