I love the stiff rope effect. I think it's so cool and i really want to buy it for my kids shows. The only thing is i can't think of a good routine to do with it. Any suggestions?

Take the rope and stretch it out...tell the audience about your trained flea...(give him a name) push on the bottom of the rope to make a small lump or ledge that you can make run up the rope (it looks like something is running up the rope) and command it to stop on the end. Now say the flea's name and tell him to hold out the end of the rope.

Let go of that end whil holding the other end with your other hand and the rope is stiff.

Now hold your hand under the "Flea end" and say "JUMP, I'LL CATCH YOU!!!"

pretend the flea jumps in your hand at the same time the rope goes limp.

"How about a big round of applause for my trained flea [its name here].

This works...I used to do it in my shows. Tell me if I did not make something clear enough.

Thanks. I love to make interesting patters for kidshows. I have been told on many occasions to write a book, so I have considered it and I have already begun writing it.

Whatever you decide, don't do the Viagra story. It's very bad for kids shows.

What is your pet flea's name? Just curious.

I think I will name my flea, Alexander the Great, but his friends call him george.

oh, that is a different trick called the rop to silk...it is much different than the stiff rope because only so much of it stands. I also have one.
