This idea isn't new. The local shop got in Tenyo's Sun and Moon Tubes a few months ago, which uses the same principle. Depending on how you present it, this could be really entertaining and great for hecklers.

Why do there seem to be so many old coots on this board picking on kids. Maybe older, more experienced magicians can pass on stuff to the younger guys who are obviously interested in doing kids tricks. I'm 34 and not upset with helping a couple kids out, even if they seem to be a little less 'mature'.

Anyway, the peacan is a good, super-simple, foolproof trick. However, I did do it to an arab kid once and it sort of wigged him out. Otherwise, it's pretty funny and cute if you present it well (which isn't hard to do). There's a good video presentation of it on the web somewhere where they play some twangy hick music in the background. That's the general routine that I go with. Packs small, foolproof, and good for adding a little comedy. Almost wish there were a larger size can with the same principle out there.

There can be a little metallic sound when doing the trick. I put scotch tape around the offending part of the peacan to keep this sound from happening. It seems to work well. Good trick for $8.

THEN VIEW THE EFFECT "After the performer waves his or her hand over the can, the cork is removed and out into the spectator's hand is poured warm water (which is mistaken as pee by the spectator)."

the trick requires at least two people (magician + spectator) to have a SENSE OF HUMOUR!!!
