that's the only one I was skeptical about. Is the spider it comes with a real spider or fake. If it's fake I'll ask my mom, if the kids are afraid of spiders.

The Web is NOT a trick that shoud be used at all!!! What if you did that to an older lady that, unbeknownst to you, was TERRIFIED of spiders, you pull that and she faints, or worse, has a heart attack.

Yes it COULD happen. Another reason for liability insurance thru either SAM or IBM. (websites to organizations available on Google)

The Web by Jim Pace - Not appropriate for reasons stated above.
Super Sharpie- Mentalism effects are not very strong for young kids.
Vanishing Handkerchief - good effect for kids - simple, direct, visual
Sly Silks - good effect for kids - simple, direct, visual
Rubber Bands For Folding Quarters - effect is too small to be seen
22 Blows to the Head - most card tricks not good for young kids
Kids Kards by Richard Pinner- This has potential if done properly

ok I resently got my kid show ready

-I would definatly spend the 50$ on joker tube (awsome kid show effect)
-vanishing hank is a great trick buy some fancy silk to go with it such as a happy birthday silk
-also I would buy or build a mirror box if you know how it works its a cheap easy build
-if you dony have it get cup and balls and sponge balls
-3d multiplying sponge rabbits also very good

web: no

super sharpie: no

van. hank YES

sly silks: no

rubber bands? um... bite out quarter no!

a dvd? WHICH EFFECTS? mostly NO anyway.

kids cards... i suppose. some good patter there.

OF YOUR LIST, ONLY THE VANISHING HANK AND KIDS KARDS ARE GOOD. You don't give yourself much to work with.

May I ask ccsyaoran, what experience are you speaking from?

I wouldn't say no to "Sly Silks". I actually use these as a running gag throughout my show. ''The Silks that wouldn't stay tied'', with a surprise ending!

I also am interested in your experience. It must not be much from what I gather of the advice you have been trying to give on the kidshow section of this forum....

I added spongeballs to the list. Still choosing, please make suggestions of what you think are some more items to get.

Sponge balls take PLEANTLY of practice to get perfect. I'm telling you now, don't expect to be able to perform these perfect a week after you get them.

As for your list, a few simple tricks which go over good are:
IT
dlites
color changing ball to jumbo square(only one sleight you have to use)
slush powder
appearing/vanishing cane(vanishing cane takes alot of practice, be prepared(it also helps to have long fingers))
mouth coils

Most of these are gimmicks, but they're fairly easy to learn incase you want to do this show soon, HOWEVER. Do not even attempt the show until you have all these tricks PERFECT, and your show well thought out, flowing good, and practiced multiple times.

I'm with Michael & Kyle, this guy CC has given some of the worst advice on kid shows. I'd say his experience if any is next to none.

I have about a month to prepare. Would that give me enough time to learn spongeballs, because I'd really like to use them.
