I had this idea that after I did a couple tricks or something, I could say I am hungry. I wanted to know if it is possible to stuff a spring animal in a tube of some kind that should have food in it(small pringles can, etc.), and have it fly out of the can.

I thought this would be a cool way to introduce a spring animal at a Kid Show.

Dave Williamson is a master with these. In his routine, he causes one to fly out of a cannon, so yes, it's possible.

A cannon? Hopefully that is a stage performance and not a kid show :P

But yeah I thought it would be a cool way of introducing one, and it would be totally unexpected.

The original point of the post was, I believe, was

While it certainly is possible, since a good spring animal costs about $30, unless you have a way to catch the animal and work him so the kids believe it is alive and real, it would be a waste of money on a cheap thrill.

You could get a quick and cheap startle reaction with some inexpensive spring snakes, which certainly do fit in a Pringles can.

The Wizards' Journal #2 has an article called "Fang" that might give you some better ways to scare the 'yell' out of your audience and get a better use out of your expensive spring animal.

d2,
You can get spring snakes in a jelly bean can from David Ginn's site, I think about $8.00.
I had some spring snakes and put them in a Pringle's can and did the very same you are talking about. I told them that magic makes me hungry would they mind if I took a second to eat. Of course I end up fighting for my life to save them from the killer spring snakes.

Yeah, I have read a lot of your posts sluggo. So it may be possible that if I read you talking about that on here, I would subconsciously think that I came up with it. I was leaning more towards a spring animal because if I got Roxie Racoon or something, I could pretend to be mad at him for eating all of my pringles :)

Then I could introduce him to all the kids, and they could all pet him while I moved him. I figured they would like this, and I could kill a couple of minutes :)

The kids do like the Racoon. I have a "Rocky" racoon named Ricky. I think that bit would go over well at a kids party.

That spring snake thing would be great and easy to fit into my routine.

Roxie the Raccoon sucks, stick with the original, not a stupid knock off.

Curly,
It's a nice little filler and fun for the kids and adults as well. It's not magic but it's something else to show you are having fun.

I agree, this guy is funnier with rocky than anyone I have ever seen.
