this girl at school offered to pay me to do a show for her younger brothers birthday party.
What are some good tricks for kids shows?

the only ones I really know are D'lite, Magic coloring book, Disapearing crayons(maybe), disapearing silk/hankerchief,& Roxie racoon.

SERIOUSLY I DONT KNOW,

There are some questions you need to answer first...

When is the show?

Do you have any performing experience?

If so, What kind?

Are you good with kids?

Do you like Kids?

What is your performing style?

How long have you been DOING magic?

Do you have routines for the tricks you know? Or do you just do the tricks?

When is the show? -(if I do it, in march)

Do you have any performing experience? -(yes, (kind of))

If so, What kind -(street magic)

Are you good with kids -(yes)

Do you like Kids? -(yes)

What is your performing style? -(it depends on the situation)

How long have you been DOING magic? -(I've loved magic practicaly my whole life but I've been doing it on&off for about 1 1/2 years)

Do you have routines for the tricks you know? Or do you just do the tricks? -(when I get the tricks I usual do the routine that it comes with and then make-up my own)

hope this helps.

Get David Kaye's book, and David Ginn's material. It might cost you more than you will get from this show, but it will serve you a life time being able to perform for kids at the top of your game. You should be able to leave every birthday party knowing it was a great show. This takes a long time to learn, but it seems you have a while, get cracking. No one will ever be perfect, that is a goal that takes a lifetime, but you want to make sure you put on a good show. The most important thing you will learn is that it is not what you do, but how you do it.

bckid,
If it's in March you have plenty of time to get a show together, right now you really don't have one. Go to Ginn's site there are a number of items there that will help.
'The birthday party business' is one(book) that covers from beginning to end on gettin a show together. You need to take some time and effort if you are serious about during this. Entertaining kids is far different then going to school and doing some card tricks.
