I don't know if I would use the finger chopper for a kids show.

I would use non of those tricks in a kidshow...they are too hard to be seen even by a small crowd...

Those are very simple early magic tricks...

did you just buy a magic kit that had these in it or something?

Are you kidding me? All those are more or less gags, not magic. If I performed those at a paid performance, the customer would be very displeased, as anyone can goto a joke shop and buy them for a few bucks.

Why is everyone coming down on this guy? If he's making money or having a good time doing them, then leave him alone. Nothing good to say? Then don't say it.

...dude...he was telling everyone to do these tricks in a show...He may do them in a show...but he won't be doing them long if he plans on making much money with them. He didn't make the thread "this is what I do in a show" he made it "do these tricks in a kidshow"...not very good advice!

Hey I was wondering what effects I should buy in order to have a better kids show. What would you guys suggest? Sometimes I can't do some things depending on the ages of the kids like the coloring book with a big crayon and a little crayon box. This is what I have now. I am willing to buy more things. Thanks. :D

1. Aflac ballon to duck one of my corperate sponsers
2. Mouthcoil
3. Predict-A-Card to ashes
4. Flags Change Bag
5. Pen Thru Dollar
6. Sucker Box
7. Out of this world card trick
8. 4 jacks card trick
9. 5 off card trick
10. Coloring Book
11. Big Crayon
12. Little Crayon
13. Ropes
14. Salt TT
15. Hat Tears
16. Baking Routine dove pan

Only YOU can make your kidshows better...you could own every single magic kidshow prop/item and still have a terrible kidshow...only YOU can make it better!

You ever notice that whenever someone wants to "make their show better" all they ever think of is new tricks to buy? Why doesn't anyone ever think to buy a book or a video on how to entertain children? There are tons of them out there, and many of them are written by the leading experts in the field.

Can you guys tell me the DVD's, books that are out there from some of the best. Like many new to this kids show magic I have a bunch of gimmicks, sleights I've used on adults and wonder that works good on kids, especially the patter and routine development.

For books, I would recommend:

1. Seriously Silly by David Kaye (aka Silly Billy)
2. Professional Magic for Children by David Ginn
3. Creative Kidtalk by David Ginn, Sammy Smith and Patrick Taylor

For videos:
1. There is a vidoe out there by Ken Scott that's very good, but the name escapes me at the moment
3. Kidzbiz video series by David Ginn is also excellent
