Excelent points, a good friend of mine, Darryl Hutton said to me: The entertainment in in you, the props are just there to help.

It is a very good point, you could take the worst, cheepest magic trick and make it great, but, you can also take a great magic tricks and make it look horriable.

I don't know what I could add to what Magicman845 and Kyle said, but everything they said is true.
Forget about performing magic, that is not the show. YOU are the show!
The coloring book is one of the cheapest easiest items to use, but with the right skit you can have the kids rolling.
Once again, it's not the magic these kids give a crap about, it's all the fun stuff that happens along the way.
Silly Billy's book really shows you how to add that funny in your show. Another book that I think is very helpful is "The Birthday Party Business" it's written by several people in the industry.
If you can perform the magic you are on your way.. but that's the easy part, now perform with it.

I'd recommend any tricks that will keep the kids entertained! Entertainment for kids is 50% of the battle! :lol:

I'd also recommend some tricks on www.magicianschool.com. They have some good street tricks that you could incorporate.
