What kind of clothes should i wear for a kid show.

Dressy, regular, suit, ect.

it depends on what your personality is. if you are guy that jokes every two seconds then wear lots of colors. if you are more serious then wear a colored suit (something like red or another shiny type of suit.) adjust accordingly.

well, I did a show in a nudist camp once. The choice of costume was VERY limited.

Like most people I started with the stereotypical magician suit and tie, then it evolved over the years as added stuff I like and took away stuff I didnt. Now I have black shoes, socks and pants, a red shirt, a black with gold stars bow tie, and a waistcoat with cards, top hats and stuff on it. If its cold I wear the jacket that came with the pants. It looks, well not sophisticated but at least smart, because I am not as silly as a clown, but also fun and bright which fits my incompetent character. I didnt have a vision of all this in the beginning, and nobody told me what to wear. Just wear stuff you feel comfortable performing in and fits your character.
