Hazerman,
If you are going to get into kidshows I would highly recommend a suitcase table. It will make things a whole lot easier for you. Get the specs from a site and make one yourself, it's a whole lot cheaper. A new one will cost you (large) at least $325.00 and then shipping.Uggh!

$325 is way to much for me now. How do you make one? Are there blue prints or something? About how much is it to make one?

I made one for about $75.00 bucks. When I get home tomorrow I'll look up the specs and e-mail you. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you some pics.

It isnt specifically for kids shows, but have you seen the table Michael Ammar is taking with him to his lectures? Its home made for under $20 by screwing three chairs legs onto a large picture frame and putting a close up mat on top of it.

Not all of the tables are home made in that video, but if you have questions on a specific table, I will point you in te right direction to where you can find the tables, or where I got the plans for.

Suitcase tables are nice however, if you are performing at a picnic lugging it across a field...
and you'll just love when the client says, "we're having you perform in the basement" and don't tell you in advance.
Just my thoughts on the subject.
