Hi I was thinking about getting a dove pan!! I found a site that I can get I think a morrissy one, that comes with the pan, a sponge cake and a routine from david ginn. For under 40 dollars. I need to know how you guys make the fire if your going along the cake baking routine. I know alot of people use lighter fluid but what happens if you put to much in it and it explodes? Can it work with alot of flash paper? Also if anyone has the routine that david ginn uses for the dove pan please post how he makes the fire.

NO lighter fluid. It can destroy the pan. If you mix lighter fluid with other cake ingrediants, everything will expand and litterally dent the pan.

Sorry, but the "method" you are asking for would likely constitute exposure of an effect or sleight.
