Nice, essay, and I voted yes.

Nice essay. One point I would like to make however- magic does not exist in the eyes of the beholders. It exists in the minds and imaginations of an audience. This to me is an important distinction.

Yeah thats true. I meant people's perception, or like you said kind of, what they think about the magic more than their actual eye lol.

Oh yeah, who else voted is art the thing in my heart too lol???

I did. Not because of the stupid heart joke, but because I feel it is very difficult to define art, and some of your metaphors were inappropriate as magic does not need to be visual.

So, art doesn't need to be visual either...

Then half of your comparisons and analogies are just inappropriate.

"Magic is sometimes visual"
"Art is sometimes visual"
"Therefore magic is art"

Not logic at its finest...

Ok well I had to focus on ART, not magic. It was a paper that had to be about art, and not about magic. So I think you're looking at it from a magic perspective, but really its about art more than magic. And art is a little hard to define you know, so I tried to come up with the best things I could to support that magic is art. As for the visualization, most people think of painting when they hear art, so thats what I was going on with using visual a lot. But maybe I did overdo it a little, idk. I mean I know I did at the end....
