Hmmm.......For some reason this sounds very familiar......Now... Where have I heard it before?
Credit the source lol

Good Essay.... The most important thing in that essay is when you talk about the age. Age is not what makes you a professional. Your ability to handle an audience and to present yourself in a manner that is professional is what makes you professional. I have had a lot of people say, as I give them my prices, "But you are just a kid.... Your only 16." My reply is yes I am a kid but I am a professional as well. Age does not make a difference. And if someone you perform for is older than you for a birthday party then let it be. The person seeing a younger kid perform magic the way he or she does might influence them to start their own magic. As stated before, age does not matter.

Anik...you must advertise and promote. Get a website going. And tell people about it. I am sure you do street magic right? Well try to do street magic for like moms with their kids. And afterwards hand her/him a business card! And you never know they might call them. TELL them you do shows. Thanks robby lol....Nick

Beesflirtn: I must say that is a very inspiring essay, Thanks.

One question - Where do I start of on making up my own patter?

I have a few props which I will practice, then try and make some patter and then work on the persentation and linking tricks together.

Its just I don't know where to start on making patter or putting certain tricks in differant parts of the routine.

Michael I'm gonna PM you now to help you out.

Beesflirtn, you should listen to bproud, as he's correct. Your essay is mostly stated in absolutes ("Wear a tux," "Age never matters," etc.) while none of them actually are. While these assertions may be true, they are true ONLY IN SOME CASES. As bproud mentioned though, passing these off as absolute truths is misleading and wrong.

I appreciate the time you took to write the essay, but you may want to defer the questions other members are asking to more experienced magicians.
