3 years aago i moved to singapore from australia (because of my dads massive company) but anyway we moved and we got here. we bought a house, nice big pool and u know stuff like that, then i was unpacking my stuff from boxes and found 2 packs of cards. i was also bored to death so i played around with it. i showed my dad the cards he tought me my first trick the pick a card find it trick. 2 weeks later i bought a magic book, then a kit and it goes on now im a close-up card magician,

know one really inspired me, but these days it will be cyril takayama becuase his a half japanese/ american like me but im half australian/ japanese so

Blaine,

I really didn't like the stage thingies. I just knew it was all about secret hatches and mirrors. And close up in holland wasn't that high level (on tv at least) but when i saw Blaine i was inspired.

I was inspired by Cyril Takayama

Someone emailed me the link to the clip where he pulled the saltshaker through the glass table... I thought he was some sort of demon!

Up until then, I had gotten too caught up with the whole "there's no such thing as magic" mentality for so long, but I was so amazed with the illusion that I googled for some more clips of his magic, and the more I found the more it reminded me of what it felt like to be a kid again where magic was very real.

When I was a kid david copperfield inspired me. But it was funny becuase I went to a copeprfield show and had no clue how famous he was until later on. Then during the summer of 05 I saw a mindfreak marathon and was blown away with his levitation. This caused me to heavily google for some sort of product so I could perform this, I wans't so much looking for an explanation but a method for me to do the same. Google then brought me to penguin and I saw all the other cool magic things and I bought the raven. David blaine also inspired me with the reactions he got from things that now are very commercial effects.

I saw him on a cruise to Alaska and made every effort to contact him. He finally replied and wished me best of luck on my performance on July 4th.
His name?
Shawn Farquhar
