I'm not to familiar with Vernons work except for Twisting The Aces and Triumph, can some one recommend some of his stuff?

Also I'm undecided about who I'd rate as the best magician out there for many reasons so a big thanks to those who do know and took the time to tell use why. But if I had to pick it would be from this lot.

David Blaine: for bringing magic back to the people in a massive way.

Derren Brown: His mentalism is without doubt the greatest in the world and if you've ever seen him with a deck of cards, His slights are flawless and beautiful.

Harry Houdini: For creating such a legend and breaking the barriers in his time.

Greg Wilson: Outstanding slifgt of hand great performer and likeable guy.

Larry Jennings: For making me practice so hard so that i can mearly stand in his shadow.

Dai Vernon and David Blaine are great in 2 totally different ways. You can't really compare them. Vernon revolutionized magic for magicians, Blaine revolutionized it for laymen.

I would have to pick David Devant for stage because he was an incredible all around magician and inventor(sp?). For close up work i would have to pick Dai Vernon. As many of the reasons already. For new generation i would have to pick David blaine for inspiring so many laymen. i would also have to say Criss Angel i know that much of you guys hate him but he still has boosted the art and he truley is history in the making. He will one day be up their with Carles Morritt, Jean Robert- Houdin, Harry Houdini, and Mark Wilson.

Lets nort start an argument about this.

THanks

SEan

Wayne Houchin. he takes the most amazing effects, things that would seem impossible, and finds practical, easy ways to do them. now he's just my favorite inventor. my favorite magician is justin miller just for his preformance style.
