Any one can give me an advice on how to handle the situation when the spectator imediatly after a presentation with a Svengali, Invisible or Richard´s Pinner Kid´s Deck, ask "let me see the deck"! There are wonderful routines with these decks but I´m impressed how difficult is to refuse and putting the deck away from the spectator which obviously is frustrated if you say no... or let me show you another trick..! Best thing is deck switch and another trick... but some folks try to make that difficult. To me they are just another type of heckler. I find that the type of audience that wants to see the props are not the kind of audience I want anyway - or maybe I am not good enough at handling audiences and it shouldn't come up?

One thing that works nicely is to start off with a normal deck, and do tricks that get cards into their hands. That way, they get used to normal cards. Then you can do a deck switch and bring in the gaffed deck. A great way to do an easy deck switch is to put the deck in your pocket and do something non card, then after the trick, bring in the gaffed deck. And to them, the deck will seem normal, because they've already been able to look at it. The key is to just get them accustomed to a normal deck (or other props for that matter), then bring in the gaffs and gimmicks when they're not expecting it. Hope this helps. Good luck.
