I heard from a couple of guys here that they want to see David Blaine on TV but can't catch him. There's going to be a David Blaine marathon on TLC tonight at 6 pm. I think it already started on the East Coast though.

watching those shows again made me realize why I got back into magic. My respect for Blaine has tripled, he is so good with cards it makes me sick.

Any magician who appears every week will become bland.
You can't compare the two because of time constraints,(and your use to seeing Criss Every Single Week, it isn't done in small doses which is more effective) give Criss the time and you will see an entirely different show. The Mindfreak show is only 22 minutes in total length, this doesn't include the cut shots. Put Blaine under that type of time constraint and you will see a difference, also Criss should allow for an experienced Director to do his show rather then himself.

That is the one thing that I have taken issue with, the Mindfreak series should be directed by someone who understands edits and time better.

A&E although they scored a huge success with Mindfreak the show is quickly becomeing boring due the time factor and the lack of a bona fide director to put the show where it should be.

think of it like this, what if David Blaine had a weekly show, what would be different?

Well, that is the very reason Blaine does not make a mistake by doing a new show every single week because people would get tired of him and he would eventually run out of material just like Criss is doing right now, he is running out of material. When I watched(and taped) those episodes last night, it was a real good feeling to see Blaine at work doing real magic for real people. I mean, there he is whipping out DL's, hot shot cuts, coin transfers, levitations, classic forces, etc. You can tell his sleight of hand is very good and it was nice to see his old episodes again after a little break.

IT was refreshing seeing Blaine, but right now I would like to see Cyril here and have him do a special.

You don't get it....Cyril belongs here, every rule is made to have an exception and he is that exception.

I love him, he's a great performer, but this forum's title is David Blaine/Criss Angel, what don't you get about that? You can post about him in the Hall of Fame forum...

No oz, he can't because he never posts anything outside of the blaine/angel forum, my guess probably because he's not a magician.
