This trick that he closed the show this past Wednesday is a classic example of how he utilizes the limits of a TV show. While I am not saying all of his tricks rely on the camera he definately is not afraid to. He did use one non stop shot. However as you watch the camera showing around him doing a complete 360 as he gets to the point where he starts to walk straight at the camera you see him use "the cover". If you have a tape of this I sugest viewing it again and you will see it. This is the kind of thing that I find to be disapointing he utilizes some tricks that could never be replicated in front of a true live audiance. He has some talent but I think he is really running low on material that he feels comfortable with.

Oh just shut up. I'm seriously tired of people that only want to put Angel down. How much more popular is magic now than it was a few years ago? I'm working much more often than I would be before the Blaine/Angel thing started. Just get off your high horse, stop whining, go out and do magic.

I agree the motorcycle vanish is awesome. However this is an example of why people start to throw fits about him. Yes he has made magic extremly popular again which is awesome. Geez this board is a little rough.

I've never really cared for those types of productions or vanishes but laymen seem to enjoy them so I can't really complain too much, however I must say I really did enjoy watching Penn and Teller vanish the pyramids.

I think that production was a clever Idea...as long there aren't stooges with fake reactions...it obviously was only for camera, because there weren't any spectators...

Magic popularity has gone up a little bit, but not enough...becasue it is still washing away.

Yes, I am getting gigs alot because people wouldn't think twice about a magician if it weren't for the darn people on TV.

The Hummer appearance performed by Criss Angel on Mindfreak is a camera only effect.

Clear?

How do you know what his method is? were you there, or are you just blinded by the fact that he is Criss Angel, open you eyes and realize that everything you know about anything is blinded by the non believers here at penguin.

Let me give you an example.....http://www.penguinmagic.com/discuss/vie ... p?t=113757

Read that and tell me that all you kids aren't blinded from reality, how many people on that thread thought the effect was camera edited? Now tell me if it is or not because I have the effect now, and it is in now way edited. The method is very simple, kind of like all of Criss Angels' effects are.

No, definately not...

I think everyone here exept you could tell how he did it...I can't tell you how, that would be "horrible" exposure...

Just look at the view of the camera, and how the view changes slightly before he walks straight to the camera...I give you a hint: the camera shows almost a 360 degree view, but one spot we never see until the cloth is lowered...
