Is there some study that says that 37 will be the chosen number. I've never seen blaine until tonight from a friends borrowed tape and saw the pick a number trick and I picked 37 just like the person in the video.

I tried it on my wife and got it wrong.. she looked at me and smiled and said "No, my number is 75!" I repeated the between 1 and 50 part just one more time for good measure...

Ok.. I did this trick tonight and out of 5 people 4 chose 37.

I gave the order to pick the number, blah blah, blah.. and when the all said they had a number I went person to person and whispered 37....

Everyone was amazed except for the person who chose "11" and can't follow directions very well

But why ? It's works but I dont know why...

Along the same lines, according to Blaine, most men think of Ace, 7, then 4 of spades, in that order when asked to think of a card. Women, according to Blaine, think of Queen, ace, then 4 of hearts, in that order. I have found for the most part, men almost always think of a black card, and women think of a red card just the same. But I have yet to get the exact card right with anyone. Also according to Blaine, 80% of people think of 7 when told to pick a number between 1 and 10. Personally I think these stats are very interesting, and I would like to more similar stats like these.

At the science fair (me and my partner were doing magic and deception), I asked two girls to think of a number between 1 and 10. I bluntly said 7 (I wasn't really paying attention as they were just leaving). The girl was shocked. The other girl said the first number she thought up was 7.

Seems Im 50/50, if not 37 they pick 31.

They really narrow it down so that your only choice is to pick one of two or three numbers.

Between 1-50, only odd numbers, two different digits. You can even say that there can't be a one in the number. Then there's only...35, 37, and 39. Which would you pick?

13,15,17,19,31,35,37 Are all.....I believe the theory is people tend to pick high over low and those two numbers quite different......7 also a lucky number helps.....1 is shied away from......

he doesnt like to be less than accurate on number predictions. Im still waiting on a thread I put out on Harry Loraynes Magic book. There is a section called "I got your number" that is close to 100 percent accurate on number mind reading. Anyone have take on this please PM me.

yeah there actually only like 6 possible answers, and since you say between 1 and 50, people automatically exclude 1 and 5(saying between 1-50 sounds like you mean any # except 1 and 5), so the only odd # between 1 and 5 is 3, then the next odd # other than 1 3 and 5 is 7.

It makes sense, if you get it... lol anyways yeah

When I do it I say something like: "...by the way, don't use any easy digits like 1 or 5, they're too easy numbers." It's amazing how you can control people with your words.

By the way, what's the 333 thing? I've only heared of 68 and THE 37

The numbers 3 and 7 are very common, so ppl usually put them together for 37 if given the chance. tell someone to pick a number between 1 and 5 it is usually 3, between 1 and 10 it is usually 7, or 3.

Ok this trick didn't work and I just did it to three sepearate people 3 diffrent times here is how I did it.

I said pick a number "BETWEEN!" 1 and 50 both digits of the number must be odd numbers (I show my two fingers just as a mental note two them) and I say "I feel 37" they say nope and have other numbers like 17

on all three tries I said "I am not getting a clear connection lets try again" this time pick a even number "BETWEEN!" 50 and 100 the two digits you pick must both be even numbers they say "OK" and I say I feel a strong feeling of the number 68 and all three time it was no again so I am not impressed!
