does any one know how david blaine(in his street magic special ripped up that lady's card that was sighned then it came back again? Thanks

He did a differnet trick b4 that where she signed a card but he kept it when the trick was done and used it later on that trick. (blain has more editing magic than he does proforing magic)

He does a DL showing the spectators card, and then takes off another card. He shows it only momentarily... if you freeze frame the picture... you can see the letters of her name are slightly different. He must have a crew that helps him create duplicates while he performs an ambitious card routine or something. Personally, I think this is a form of cheating... but then again, all magic is trickery :).

There are a couple books that describe methods of doing this. What it involves is making a bunch of signed cards that you "flash" to the spectators, making them think it is their signed card as you go into your effect. Their real signed card is never destroyed.

David obtains a duplicate signature from the spectator during an earlier routine. There are many books that explain ways, the most recent is Card College 5 by Roberto Giobbi. The rest of the routine is just an ambitious card routine.
