Ok, so this was supposed to be called "IChange" but it was already taken....so its "IShift" for now.

Pros:
Very visual
Can be done at anytime
Setup should take no longer then 20 seconds
Easy to reset
Ipod can be examined afterwards
you end (almost) completely clean.
Easy to do
No sleeves

Cons:
Requires gimmicks
Gimmick cost $15-20
You can only use jelly cases
you don't end completely clean
for 0.5 the case can NOT be examined
Gimmick takes a while to create

Pretty cool. I'm not sure exactly what you meant in the cons by not ending completely clean, but if it's not practical for close up work I'd happily put this in sort of a cabaret/stage show as sort of one of those little miracles in between the actual effects that makes your magic seem that much more real.

One question though. Could you put the case on a borrowed phone then change the color? Let's say you borrow a iphone with the intention of doing Pressure, then you say that you don't want to mess up the phone so you put on a cover. Then you say that the cover doesn't match the phone and visually change the cover and continue with Pressure. Would that be possible?

Your hands wont be completely empty is what I meant, but you can pocket/sleave the gimmick and get rid of it.

I had it finger palmed and let it drop off site of the camera, O_0
But I've performed this for my family and a few of my friends, I always finger palm it and then let my hands drop to my side after I hand it to them, then i just drop it in my pocket.

I suggest pocketing just because I never where long sleeves, but if you happen to where sleeves
you could attach this gimmick to a pre-existing gimmick and end completely clean.


Hmmmmmm, about using a spectators phone/ipod

With the current gimmick, you probably couldn't do it, but I think with a slight modification and a little slight of hand you could pull it off.

Im sure theory 11,ellusionist, or papercrane would be interested in it.

Even if they're not interested I'm sure it'd rise to the top of the charts on the Wire

I think I'll sell it once I find a more practical way to make the gimmick, and maybe some kind of app to go along with the trick. :p

Seems like people on youtube don't like it though, but that might be because they think I split the video.

I like that everyone else says sell it, yet you're willing to take the time and think the idea all the way through rather than selling it for an insane price the coming out with a 2.0 the next month at double the price. I would suggest taking the video down so you don't get ripped off.

I think if you can find a way to instantly ditch it and seemingly end clean, then the contest at 30 minutes in this video wouldn't be a bad thing to give a shot for. Obviously it'd take some refining, but I really think something that clean could have a chance if you could find like an instant ditch.

Just throwing in my 2 cents, who cares if the trick is fake, why would you recommend him to try to sell it in the first place? Guys, dumb little tricks that you created 20 minutes ago SHOULD NOT be put on the market. Stop trying to come up with tricks to sell and show some respect for the art. That attitude is why we get the crap on the market that is going out today.

how was it a dumb trick he created 20 minutes ago; hes been posting for awhile about creating it. most of us thought he had figured out what he wanted to do with it.

and since he cant do it at all it no longer matters.

Also if someone came up with away to do that effect without video editing and it was a practical method;id say its good enough to sale. just because you think its a dumb trick doesn't mean everyone else does.
