I don't think any of these look ideal. Not one of them on this post. Ideally, for me, I'd go with something like the stealth belt (I like the ability to move the pockets around, not too sure about the whole velcro dependency, yet I like the customization for the particular items to go in each pocket) yet with pockets for both chop cup loads and a bottle production. That would be perfect for me anyways.

The tactical gear that keppitbottled linked to looks pretty cool. But you don't know how well it will hold your stuff. You want it snug enough for your props to stay in and loose enough to get them out easily (obviously). As i said in my previous post I do like on the stealth belt the pockets are custom made sizes so you know it fits. If you can go, with some of your props, and try the tac gear in person you might be able to make it work?

I don't care for the Velcro dependency either. Real Velcro lasts a long time; generic hook and loop closures may or may not. So it depends on what material they used. But it is the Velcro that gives you complete control on where your items go and insures they stay where you put them.

You seem to me to pretty much have your mind made up on the Stealth belt. And I see nothing wrong with that. If you make enough money performing to justify the expense then why not. To each their own, right?

If you are crafty enough you could make a chop cup pocket and put some Velcro on it... hmm I just thought of something... I may make a belt for myself. Right after I finish reupholstering my couch that is. I'm better at sewing than magic, but I've been sewing since Nixon was President So I can make one from scratch... If I get it done I will let y'all know how much it cost (time and money)

Yes, to each his own, especially in the performance arts.

Craft stores sell leather pieces that may be cut to form simple pockets and quality velcro may be glued on (hot glue or other durable adhesive) if one doesn't desire to sew. This and cell phone holsters would make a stealthy combination of their own. Any belt may be worn and the cases may be unclipped from one's belt quickly if the desire to de-prop is there. All without costing $150 big ones!

I've been looking to upgrade from my current waiter's apron system for a while, and this was the closest I could find. Then it dawned on me that if I could find a shoemaker I could possibly have a belt made to my exact specifications. I would be able to have pockets for everything I need and I could be sure about the velcro was up to par. It would probably last longer too.

Sounds like that is the best path for you. Having 100% confidence and comfort with your setup will allow you to put more focus on your performance.

Exactly. Right now I have the second of terror when I pull out a deck of cards and wonder if the correct gaff is in the deck. I need something that will last a long time and assure me of exactly where all of my things are.
