Yes, I saw it last week. Really good movie. Lots of magic connections. Of course it is historically inaccurate but does bring in lots of elements from the Robert-Houdin era such as automations. We learn that the Ben Kingsley character was a magician and there are flashbacks to his performance of a levitation. We see a rising card effect as well.
I wouldn't say this movie is for everyone - no giblets or gore. Basically, its a family film. The story develops slowly. The movie is beautifully filmed. It pays homage to the early days of film and the loss of much of that early film record. I would recommend it.
