I love Gregory Wilson, he is one of my all time favorites, I own a ton of his material and I peform a ton of his tricks. But I'm pretty tired of seeing him come out with coffee trick after coffee trick after coffee trick. I don't know, maybe since its not something I would do, or maybe it doesn't seem that strong. Just my thought. What do you guys think?

Wilson's work has, for a long time, been a sort of "ace in the hole" kind of magic. The kind of material that you can to when you are not necessarily prepared to perform. Those moments when you are out and about in your daily life and one friend tells another about your skills and before you know it someone is saying, "Magic me Magicman!" In that line of thinking I think coffee shop magic works well since it is the sort of place that is good for on the spot magic. So I sort of see his coffee shop magic as just a continuation of the kind of magic he has been teaching, developing, and promoting for years.

...Yes as said above. Greg tends to come up with effects that are impromptu or appear to be impromptu because that is what comes to his mind. I believe he mentioned something regarding that when discussing his Florida Keys effect on his, On the Spot vid.

When ideas come to mind we tend to not be in control of what it is that comes to mind.
