What if someone removes their watch and says "Here, do that with my watch". What do you do then?

You tell them this, "One day there was a rotten kid, and a witch turned into a mini kid. He one day went into a watch factory and he was inside the watch while they were making it. The witch said your rotten and listen to the time the owner of the watch or anyone says, and quickly turn the knobs so it reads that time, to the minute!" That is why it wont work with theirs.

Since they don't know what you're going to do before you do it they won't say that until after you're done. At that point it's no problem to just say "I'm sorry, the magic only works once", or "A magician never does the same thing twice, we'd get kicked out of the club".
