If used correctly... they won't think it is a magnet. I only use it on my knee. IMO you should only use it on your knee. The M5 is great but I was very dissapointed that I could't perform the haunted deck with it like I wanted to. I shimmed the card with all the shim material that came with it. But it just won't work. The M5 is a good purchase for certain tricks. But for card work I would say go with loops.

I have not used the M5 but I have heard that it is "bulky" and sticks out. I have used Loops and I think that you would have to get "Million Dollar Knot" in order for it to be good because they break too easily.

you are compairing two compleatly different gimmicks.

the M-5 is used for mentalism and vanishes.

Loops are for suspending cards or mentalism.

you get loops free around the holidays so get the M-5 and you will get loops free along with a few other tricks too

I have both. I LOVE the M5. Loops is great but they break. There are ways to do the M without people suspecting the magnet. If your at a table, they dont suspect it. I havent had a problem with this. EVEN whendoing X Flip COin. If you wear T shirts most of the time because where you live has out wheather, you can do vanishes or stuff standing up. You have to sit. Loops, it dosent matter. Make your decision. Hope I helped. I would go with the M5 but becareful because you know what magnets do.
