I used to have a coin trick in which someone marks a nickle(?) gives it to you, you reach in your jacket pocket, fiddle around for a couple of seconds then pull out a matchbox with 4 rubber bands around it, inside is the coin in a small bag also sealed with a rubber band. I've tried to find it but don't know the name, if it is still available.

I know what you're talking about but I can't think of the name of it. I'm not sure if that particular version is still available. Penguin has a similar version done with 4 round brass boxes called "The Spellbinding Boxes". Depending on the size of the coin used you can use 3 or all 4 of the boxes. Do a search for it, and there's also a movie of it here.

I can't remember the name of it, but it is in Mark Wilson's Course on Magic. You can either buy or make the gimmick to do the trick and everything can be examined afterwards. Variations of this trick using the same gimmick can produce the coin in a ball of yarn.

The cin gbox, the bunny box, the coin in matchbox it has a TON of different names depending on who makes it. If you happen to have the book "now you see it, Now you don't" there's a version of it in there. It's u sually less than 5 bux at any magicshop, if you can't find a way of making it, that is.

Yeah paulh2412...you could make your own. You said you used to have it so you should know the secret. All you would need is a Matchbox, a small little cloth bag (which you could sew together yourself), some rubber bands, and the (coin slide) gimmick. You could make the gimmick out of a piece of thin metal or some strips of plastic and super glue.

Thanks everyone, I imagined making it, but I remembered it to be inexpensive, but not knowing the name, I didn't find it when I searched. (I also imagined bloody fingers from sheet metal cuts if I made my own. . .) Thanks to all.
