ok, i THINK this is how it goes. he had it pre recored and when he showed the 5 dimonds, and told you to put your hand on it, they just stop filming really fast. then they switched the 5 dimond card with the nine dimond card, and lance burton is in the same place. so yea.....

Um, no. It's an actual trick that can be performed before a live audience. Can't remember what it's called right now but I've seen it in the past.

Are you sure it's not blink? Remember, the television camera only records at 60 frames per second. Although the human eye can register more than that, when you see something on television, you are seeing it at that lowest common denominator. As a result, if you were to see blink on television (or a video clip for that matter) it would look pretty amazing. The only other explanation I can think of is that Lance Burton has true magical powers - Whoever is watching the show gets hypnotized as if time stands still. He then switches the cards and claps his hands. Everyone wakes up and applauds! Well, does anyone else have a better explanation? lol

it is 29.97 fps in america, about 25 in the rest of the world. the only thing more than that is IMAX - they use 70fps!!!
