Was curious for an ID on a "magicians ring" used to be advertised in I believe Genii magazine and The Linking Ring. Had sort of a "v" shape to it I don't believe it really did anything, don't think it was magnetic or anything. Recently spotted it on the finger of Daniel Garcia on the Penguin video for Daniel's Torn effect. was wondering if they were still around and if they could be found.

Not sure if this is what you are looking, but I found this one at Blackstone/Jacobson/Willmarth:

Also, there is an "Illusion Ring" which seems to expand and shrink...while it is turned on your finger. Found it using the search field over at Hocus- Pocus.com

You can also buy the "Illusion Ring" here at Penguin... although that's probably not the type of ring he's looking for... nor do I think the other ring you posted about is it, either.

Chambers, if you use the search feature, which sucks at the moment, you should be able to find a topic on this subject. I believe the topic had something to do with "Daniel Garcia's Ring" or something like that. To be honest with you, I can't really remember much about the topic, I just remember that there was one.

You can still find them, but the cost has gone up recently. I've got one along with one other guy here in ABQ and a guy in Santa Fe. To my knowledge, no one in Pensacola wears one. So, I'm one of very few in two fairly large groups of magicians.

It's funny because that style of ring has been around for quite awhile. Remember seeing them often probably in the 90's. Though most were thinner and worn exclusively by.......women.

Here's one for you. Though hard to tell if the other side has a V as well.

^^I can tell that it doesn't. If it did, you would be able to see it angling down from this view... I think. lol

You can also check out Slalom Rings. Basically identical, however, the point on the V isn't as sharp.

You said it was called a Slalom Ring. I have also been searching to find this ring and when I searched Slalom Ring I got a part for a motor cycle. Did you get the spelling right?

I seen Ben Salinas wear these in person and on his DVDs. I never was much of a ring wearer, or jewelry at all for that matter. It just gets in the way.

Here's a thought ... Penguin should put out a Ring with the little Penguin logo character.
... Hmmm, ... wonder how it would sell ? :)
