Yeah, I didn't really consider the ID / Brainwave thing. I make those decks myself as well, actually.
However, I disagree with saying that perfect gaffs are easy to make. Honestly, "The Art of Card Splitting" results in gaffs that are far less than USPCC quality. They lack the spring that normal cards have, the "ripples" from peeling cards are visible no matter how long one presses the layers, and some cards are simply not possible to construct satisfactorily (Skinner's 3 Card Monte, 4-in-1 cards, and BLANK CARDS / DECKS
Personally, I just feel much more comfortable purchasing gaffs made by the USPCC.
