i have been searching all over the internet for an effect that is popular with some street magicians i have seen in the past. i am just remembering now that i have seen this performed, and now i would really like to know the name of the effect and to be able to learn it. i will do my best with describing how the effect goes....

this effect involves three or four coins which are said to be "chinese coins", and have holes in the center of them for a shoelace to trap them with. you start by hanging all of the coins on the shoelace by their holes, and one by one the coins appear to "melt" off the lace while the magician is holding both ends of the string, until all coins are released from the string. i have seen this trick done with a chiffon type silk where the coins would be placed in the center of the silk, and showing the same effect as described previously.

if you are familiar with this effect and know any info please let me know, i would greatly appreciate it.

yes, this could be it, by the description it looks extremely similar, the only down side is that it mentions the coins are not included, would i be able to buy the coins separately on penguin as well? i will search around, thanks for your quick reply.
