Hey :)

I was wondering if you guys could help me find a couple of effects!
I am writing a stage show with a lot of acting, magic and juggling, and some of the things I want to be able to do are these:

-Vanish three juggling balls I have in my hands
-Vanish a deck of cards as I shuffle it
-Make a rubikĀ“s cube appear in my hands.
-Make myself disappear (can be with the help of an assistent putting a blanket over me or something)

If you can help me with some of these things, I would be very happy!

Thanks you!

Your juggling and deck of cards can be solved with this one principle.

The vanish of yourself can be done a ton of ways but on the cheap and simply This book offers some great ideas...

for the appearing cube you'll have to find something on your own I am not good with steals at all.

I didn't understood the first link really, but I will look more into it!

One question: Is the self vanish in Mark Wilson's book
a good one? :)

The thing in the first link is called a Toppit. If you want to see it in action you should watch this. It's at the end of the video but you should really watch the whole thing:

It's a topit and it will be the best way to accomplish the feat you are looking for without having to learn extensive manipulations.

There are several assistant helped vanishes. They are good enough and for a stage show could prove very useful.

This is all speculation based on what you asked.

If you gave us all more information you might get more help

As far as I am now in work with the show, this is all the info I have to give you.
I am sitting in Kiev right now, with no possibility to practice the stuff I want to have in the show, so I am at the time writing the monolouges and the songs I am going to have in my show.

The things I wrote up are all things I want to be able to do in the show, and I am happy that you have helped me this far already!

When I know more, I will give you more information :)

Thank you once again!

If you are writing a show then I suggest this. Write the show. So many things will change in that process. Then when you know what you want find a way to get it done. With theater anything is possible. Many small theaters have been working very well with shows like Beauty and the Beast and Pippin, the Magic Man that require magic. In pre production is the best time (after the writing) before rehearsals is the best time to get the magic parts figured out.

Buy Michael Ammar's Topit Pattern + Toppit DVD will set you back about $40

It will allow you to do everything above except Vanish yourself.
