Was noodling around Penguin the other day and I came across a Penguin members personal web page. The fellow appeared, presented very professionally, and performed an 8 card effect with Jacks and aces, that I would love to learn. Trick is now I can't remember who or where.
Figured if I describe both him and the effect I ought to get a hit on one of the two.

Ok, gentlemans website had 3 demo videos, all card work if I remember right. I want to say the page was red background with gold trim? not 100% there.

The effect was pretty smooth. I'm looking for credits or learning material. Essentially I would like to know what the effect was and where I can learn it. The gentleman counted out/displayed 4 jacks and 4 aces individually and then 1 by 1 tabled the jacks very fairly face down. He then counted the aces face up, in hand and on the last ace it suddenly switched to a jack, he then turned the cards in his hand face up- whammo all jacks, cards on the table- whammo all 4 aces. Cool transposition, very visual. Would love to acquire it.

Thanks!

That sounds like Reset by Paul Harris. It could also have been a variation. There are so many out there...check out Denis Behr's site here: Reset

That looks like a phase that is performed and taught on Joshua Jay's "Talk about Tricks" dvd set from the Oil and Water trick. That dvd set has a lot of magic on it too.

Good call. I actually emailed Caleb for source material and that's where he pointed me. Thank you for the dual and accurate input!
