I was watching a David Blaine special today and I saw this trick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i4B1E-JD1U .
At 0:45, does anyone know what kind of effect was used to light the paper? It looks like it is flash paper which ignites when ripped. It was also used earlier in the show, but inside of a book where the lady opened the book and the page lit on fire and then burned out.
Thanks, Drew

This isn't a creation that is on the market. The paper must have been treated with chemicals that react to the tearing of the paper. The amount of smoke billowing from the card when he tears it suggests that it isn't standard flash paper. If you truly wish to create something of this sort, you'll have to consult a chemist.
