I am planning to tryout for a talent thing with my stagemagic/comedy routine. So far I have the Arabian tent, the great box(both from Mark Wilson's Complete course in magic) and I also have a great finisher trick, the metamorphisis (houdini version) but I think I might need 1 more trick.please reply

that sounds like a good routine. adding another trick depends on the length of time you are allowed, and the impact of the tricks you are allready doing. say for example you are allowed 20 to 30 minutes for your act, and the act you allready have is 24 minutes, but it is very strong. should you add another trick just to make it 30 minutes? i dont think so, becuase amount is not what pleases the audience...quality is. so if you believe that what you are all ready doing is good, strong magic, stick to it. if you think its a little dry, add another effect. i hope this helps

There is an older trick that is very cool and visual. "Sands of Time"..three colores or sand are mixed in water bowl ..and you pick out each color sand "DRY" from bowl, then pour water into a clear picture to show all sand is gone. Goes in water...comes out dry..I got this and is very cool. Some of the older stuff is overlooked because of progress..I like to bring back the oldies but goodies. Hopes this helps ya!
