I rhink if you go to the site of "International Brotherhood of Magicians..you may beable to find links to Blane's and McBribes sites. That should tell ya how to get to the site that tells. If not , let me know..I use to have the site but when my comp. crashed I lost it. I learned it and it's a good illusion.....simple...but great :)

I am not really sure if there is an actual tricks behind it. I THINK he put a string in his stomach beforehand which I must said is very brave. I would never do anything like to impress people. In any case, he could have set a black string in his stomach somehow and then find a black string from the audience which isn't hard to find since people where black all the time.

I believe that to perform the Blaine string in stomach trick there is a lot of preparation involved that includes taking a trip to theatrical make up sites that sell latex / liquid skin etc. Remember he has a team following him around that includes a very experienced make-up artist.

Hope I haven't given too much away !

There is a book that teaches the real way how to do it. Along with other tricks like the one where you cry a diamond out og your eye.

I wouldn't recomend the book because it has some dangerous stunts as well. I am sorry I can't remember the actual name of the book.

magicman77,
you are probably thinking of Swami Mantra. Not a book for kids.

A review of it is at http://littleegyptmagic.com/swami.html

I got a string out of stomach routine, which requires no latex or anything like that. Just string, and some semi-painful prep...which is why I won't do it all the time...lol.

It works well though. If you want to impress people so much that you'll go through a little pain to get it, it's great!
