Hi, I'm a fan of tattoos, so I'm wondering if there are any resources availible for doing magic (or mentalism...preferably mentilism styled stuff but anything will work) with tattoos (real one, not temporary)?? thank you very much

There has been alot of work done with art that, on first glance looks like one thing, but on closer inspection looks like something else. It is usually used with a force card and with proper presentation it will look to the spectator like it transforms in front of their eyes. It is often seen with barcodes. Most E decks have a bar code reveal on the box. There is a bar code reveal on Will Tsai's "Sanitized." I would recommend trying out some of these types of effects first and if you have sucess with them then consider approaching a tatoo artist with some suggestions. Word of warning, these are optical illusions. I don't know how aged skin and poor artwork might effect these?

You could easily just get a force tatted on ya (specific card, number, location, year, etc)

In the book for Paul Harris' "Reality Twister" there is an effect where you make a thin bluish scar appear on your arm. The "scar" can be a fake tattoo or a real one. But you're gonna have to come up with a reason to why it's blue.

thanks guys! and yeah with my tattoos, although something with someone elses tattoo would be awesome too! and I was thinking just including a card to the artwork somehow but I didn't know if there has been any other work done with these kind of effects other than force cards!

I dont like the idea of using my own tattoos in my performance, seems kinda cheesy~ but thats just me and I dont want a card or specific pip tattooed on me. But I do like to use other peoples when I am able to.
