I just watched a Joe Monte video on youtube (thanks EZ) He does this bit with a kid where he gives the kid a magic wand but then he still has one. He does it like 5 times producing 4 magic wands from 1. Can someone tell me what this is called?

Thanks,

Ari

It is called "Multiplying Wands". I have it and have yet to reproduce the same effect that I saw the first time I saw it performed. I just wish I could pick the right kid to get the right reactions.....

Do the kids drop the wands? Seems like it could still go over well. One could slide the wands in to their pockets and also have them hold two in a hand with the ends going in different directions. See if the child will twist their hips to wave the wands in their pockets.

It doesn't sound like he is blaming the kid. It sounds like he is criticizing his own volunteer-picking skills.
