I am a hobbyist that prefers close up/visual magic. I have Toosh and am very pleased with the creativity of this gimmick. I also like how I can perform it in the spectator's hand.

I would like to include a visual vanish of one of the cards instead of showing it go into a pocket per the routine. Could anyone offer advice regarding which would be best for this: The Raven or TKO? I do not own either one, though I am familiar with the Raven. My concern is whether it is possible to set up for the Raven or TKO in the middle of Toosh.

Without revealing the Raven, it would require that one of the cards you are vanishing contain a certain thing for the Raven to work... the TKO gets great reviews but may be too expensive... look into a toppit =]

TKO or a topit. The Raven only works under test conditions with perfect items. Although it requires more practice, TKO and topits are much more versatile and overall better.

Your best bet for a visual card vanish is to learn a good change. Most toppiting vanishes happen on the off beat after a more classic technique has been used to vanish the object. The notable exception to this is the reverse pitch, which for reasons I won't get into, doesn't work very well with a card.

If you still prefer a clean vanish over a change I recommend the TKO but not for just a single vanish at the end of one routine. Going the lengths to wear a TKO one should desire to perform additional vanishes. I imagine you were thinking this anyway.
