So I just got The Sheridan Course in Card Manipulation. Excellent DVD by the way =). But Mr. Sheridan says that the newer silicone coated playing cards are not that good for card manipulation as they are slippery and do not have the snap that some of the older lacquer coated cards had. I am just wondering where in the world i can get some of these cards??? Do they make them any more? Is there any other types of cards that will work for me?

I can't recommend a particular card(never needed a manipulation deck) but I can give you some tips on where to start. Try to find a European manufacturer. Both Fournier and Piatnik still use a varnish but neither maka a manipulation deck. Possible someone in europe is still making a laquered manipulation deck???
